Almasi yenye haijakatwa ya ukubwa wa mpira wa tenisi, iliyopatikana kwenye mgodi wa Korowe nchini Botswana mwezi Novemba mwaka 2015, imeuzwa na kampuni yenye makao yake nchini Canada ya Lucara Diamond kwa kima cha dola milioni 53

Almasi hiyo yenye karati 1,109 ambayo kwa sasa ndiyo kubwa zaidi ambayo bado haijakatwa duniani, ilinunuliwa na kampuni ya Uingereza ya Graff Diamonds kwa dola 47,777 kwa kila karati na sasa itakatwa.

Kampuni ya Canada awali ilijaribu kuiuza almasi hiyo kwenye mnada mwezi Juni mwaka 2016, lakini haikupata bei ilikuwa inahitajika.

Purpose of the role
Development & enablement of Business Strategy and finance functional strategies in partnership with MD, Exec and GFD respectively
To ensure all financial controls are in place and lead the development & implementation of Controls, Compliance & Governance agenda for SBL

Qualifications and Experience
MBA in Finance or equivalent.
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA (T)).
Proficient in the use of ERP systems such as SAP.
Proficiency in the use of finance reporting systems and advanced knowledge of excel and Presentation
At least 10 years finance management experience, with at least 5 years in senior management in a reputable international organization. Experience in FMCG will be an added advantage.

Korea Kaskazini yadai Marekani imetangaza vita

Waziri wa mambo ya nje wa Korea Kaskazini amedai kwamba rais wa Marekani Donald Trump ametangaza vita dhidi ya taifa hilo.

Ri Yong-ho aliwaambia waandishi wa habari kuwa Korea Kaskazini ina haki ya kudungua ndege za vita za Marekani.
Hi ni hata kwa zile ndege zenye hazipo katika anga ya Korea Kaskazini, aliongeza waziri huyo.

"Dunia ni lazima ikumbuke kuwa Marekani ndiyo ilikuwa ya kwanza kutangaza vita," Bwana Ri alisema.

Pande hizo mbili zimekuwa zikitupiana maneno makali.

Licha ya majuma kadhaa ya misukusuko, wataalamu wanasema kuwa hakuna uwezekano wa makabiliano ya moja kwa moja kati ya Marekani na Korea Kaskazini.
